El Bolson

The beautiful streets of Villa Regina

La Gente,
Today we went as a district to the towns El Bolson and Lago Puehlo where we met up with the missionaries serving there, one of them being my old companion Elder Hernandez. We traveled two and a half hours by bus through the Andes mountains to get there which was very pretty. It is very green in this part of the Patagonia, which stands in striking contrast to the rest of the mission.
Work in Bariloche has been difficult. The people we are teaching are kind of crazy, but everyone needs the gospel and with the gospel maybe they won´t be so crazy. I did divisions with my old companion Elder Asay. This guy is one of my favorite companions. It was a lot of fun to work with him again. You meet some awesome people on the mission. He was studying psychology and says, ¨Yeah, pretty much everyone is just crazy¨.
People have a lot of problems and we can´t fix their problems, only teach them to do so. People´s lives are sometimes just downright depressing. I learned this week make good use of your youth. Don´t waste your time and make good decisions, or you will likely be a miserable old person.

Hermana Ema Reyes who gave us food twice a week and washed our shirts. She is the ¨mom¨ in Villa Regina. That is one of her thirty cats Peter who would always pee on my pants and backpack
