Investigators in church, por fin

An area in Comodoro called La Prida
President Peterson,
We did use members this week, but were fodged at most of our lessons. It was however our best week of the transfer. Our awesome investigators came to church. Saturday night the family of four showed up at a baptism but had to leave before it started for a doctors appointment. They then came to church without their kids. Alejandra stayed for all of church, with Alberto having to leave to take care of the kids. The whole family will come next week. They enjoyed church. Alejandra on leaving church asked us who she had to talk to so her ten year old son could get baptized. We said we´ll talk to her about that on Tuesday. Her husband wasn´t there when we gave her a fecha for June 3rd. So Elder Streadbeck and I are happy that we found a really cool family. Lessons with them have been great.
Meanwhile we are looking for more investigators, as seen by our number of contacts. We have asked for references and a couple of things, but contacts are proving to be the most fruitful way of finding.

Me with members from my old area

People,
So last week was good. Everything is more enjoyable in the mission when you have good investigators, or in some missions, if you have investigators. We have been working with less actives some. Most of them seen to have some block in their head that they can´t, that it is just all too hard. My dislike for working with less actives on the mission augmented when the father of one of the families we have been working with a lot said, ¨I don´t think about church, religion, or eternal life. I don´t want anything to do with the church.¨ He said it and meant it. It was something I could see in the parents for a while now. My companion was heartbroken. He really loves this family and hopes for the best for them. People make their own choices however. They have three amazing kids. The parents attitude made me sad as well.

So Alejandra, Alberto, Agustine, and Alejandro are doing well. Alejandra says we bring a peace to her house. She said when we talked with her at her door she knew we would come back. She knows by what she feels that what we were sharing is true. Both of them want a change in their lives. Alejandra said she has never seen Alberto pray or willing to do so which he happily did when we invited him to.

So everything good. Walking around in sewage all day, since the sewers are always overflowing in our neighbourhood. Another good thing is Mattias, one of the youth came up to us and asked us why we haven´t asked him to come out with us. That he misses visiting pèople with us.  So that´s cool. The ward likes us, as do the youth.
