Dear people,
This week we found some good investigators. We found some Colombians. It´s amazing how well and quickly the husband learns and understands the doctrine. We asked them to pray to know it what we were sharing is true and they did, twice. They said they felt very good and peaceful when they did. Also, they have never seen any church like ours. They say in Colombia there are 60,000 churches that are little more than businesses to get $$$. Book of Mormon, authority, the concept that we are God´s children has intrigued them.
In another lesson, we talked with another guy who had talked with the missionaries six years before. His wife was inactive for fifteen years. She did not know or remember anything. He did. He was like, there was Joseph in the woods and he saw light and God and such. I asked him if he had prayed to know if it is true. He said something of this effect. He said, yeah the missionaries told him the same thing six years ago. He prayed and asked God if it was true and said he felt really good. He felt a peace that was to him a very clear answer that what we are sharing is true. That´s the first time I have ever heard anyone say that they received a clear answer to such a question in prayer in Argentina. Wow.
We had another lesson with Carlos and Liliana. These lessons were hard because they already know everything from their personal research. They said what impacted them in their study was proxy ordinances for the dead. They literally already knew everything before they ever called the church. This is something that I have never seen, nor anyone else I know of in the mission for that matter. It´s hard to teach someone who seems to know the doctrine as well as you do, if not better.
