Querido gente,
Hablo español todo el dia con mi compañero. Por fin siento que estoy mejorando un poco en el idioma, aun personas comentan mucho en mi accento gringo todovia.
Estoy molestado mucho por dar cuenta que la vida es muy corto. Muy molestado. Personas hacen viejo y mueren. We realized something this week. People here don´t do anything with their lives because they have no goals. That is the most sad thing to see. Free education. Free everything. Socialism makes everthing free and everyone lazy.
The Bible. La Biblia es Santo. Yes, I know, but how do you know it´s true? Es la Palabra de Dios, es Santo. Si pero, como save¿?¿? One of my biggest challenges right now is people´s lack of ability to use or want to use logic and reasoning.
Moving on to better subjects.
This area is progressing nicely. I´m seeing more things happen than at any point in my mission. I´m just waiting for everything to go wrong and get a round house kick in the face. Such seems to be common in the lowest baptising mission in South America.
Anyways, we have the most studly investigators. Carlos has read the bible many times and has a wonderful understanding of the gospel. He called the church and asked for us to come. He should be getting baptised soon when he can get married. Liliana, his compañera is amazing as well. Although she does not know as much as Carlos, she learns extremely fast. It´s a dream having investigators who keep all their commitments and understand everything.
That brings us to Pablo. He as well learns extremely fast and understands things very well. He keeps all of his commitments. He cannot find work right now which has been a big struggle for he and Janeth. We just needs to make sure he understands everything well. He´s been testigoed a little.( I´m sure that is a verb- Feel free to ask any testigo where they get their authority and proof of such.) Our world is run on authority. His junta, Janeth does not understand as well but she feels it. She was crying throughout her first time in church. They cannot get baptised for the marriage issue as well. Their situation is very complicated, for they have wanted to get married for a while but have not been able to do such.
The church in argentina has a huge struggle with being offended by people then going inactive. Their are hordes of such. Also, there is a huge struggle with magnification of callings. I however have seen one inspiriational story here. One of the local leaders was ex-communicated a little over a year ago. Nevertheless he rarely misses a Sunday in church. He has an amazing understanding of the gospel and lives accordingly. Alhough he can not give church service, he finds ways to help. For example, he brings a member who can´t walk to church every Sunday and feeds the missionaries every week. I love strong members. Be either all for it, or not at all.
That´s how it is with me. There can only be one true church which is obviously the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. My struggle: Is there a God? I have had it made known unto me that there is. I live accordingly. Only thing that can take me down is sin and too much pride to repent. You cannot offend me in any way that would cause me to go inactive in church. Stay in church, do your callings, and PLEASE do your HOME and VISITING teaching. I do not think people realize just how important it is to do such. If you don´t, you make much of the work that the missionaries do to be in vain. We as missionaries are home teachers for non members. You as home teachers are missionaries for members.
